Cinelibri is an international film festival dedicated to film adaptations based on literary works.

There is a selection of competing films, parallel program of films and international jury of renowned artists. A unique multi-genre forum, facilitating the expansion of intercultural relations, promoting the achievements of European culture in Bulgaria and of Bulgarian culture around the world, strengthening the image of the Bulgarian capital as a significant cultural location in Europe.

Each year, the festival presents the best film adaptations. In addition to the competing films, the festival has several additional sections, including: Bulgarian feature and short films; contemporary European and world productions; biopics about famous authors; a selection of documentaries about prominent artists; gala evenings dedicated to different cultures; an accompanying program of special events and meetings with autographs, educational and discussion events, a cycle of movies that can be watched for free and more.
