The mayor of Sofia, Yordanka Fandakova held a meeting with Austrian delegation headed by the Minister of Transport and Housing of the State Province of Salzburg, Mr. Hans Myer.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Herbert Walner, CEO of IPG GmbH, Mr. Walter Rettenmoser, CEO of Walter Rettenmoser, Strategic Communication & Lobbying and Mrs. Ulrike Straka, Commercial Advisor at the Austrian Embassy.

The Deputy Mayor of Sofia in charge of Investment and Construction, Irina Savina, also attended the meeting.

Modernization of urban transport and introduction of energy efficiency measures were discussed during the talks. In Salzburg are interested in testing of electric buses. Three electric buses have been tested in Sofia and a public procurement notice has been published for the purchase of 20 electric buses for public transport.
