Until September 11, the audience chooses their favourite photo from the "Beautiful Sofia" competition.
The jury of the contest, Kalin Ruychev and Nadezhda Pavlova, selected 28 photos for the final exhibition and among them is the photo that will win the Grand Prize of the jury – a voucher worth BGN 1000 for photographic equipment provided by Katarzyna Estate.
The gallery of selected photographs is open for voting until September 11. Anyone can vote for his or her favourite at https://photosynthesis.bg/hubava-sofia-glasuvane.html.
The frame, which has collected the most votes, will bring its author the Award of the Audience - a weekend for two in Katarzyna Estate.
The "Beautiful Sofia" contest was launched on July 1 and the uploading of photos continued until August 15. The jury made a selection of 565 photographs by 93 authors.
The final exhibition will open on September 12 in front of the National Palace of Culture and the award winning photos will be announced.
Katarzyna Estate, the Culture Department of Sofia Municipality and PhotoSinthesis organize the photo contest jointly.

Nadezhda Pavlova
Nadezhda Pavlova was born in 1969. She graduated from Technical University - Sofia, UNWE, Art College - Sofia in the class of Boris Yuskaseliev and has a Master Degree in Photographic Art at NBU. From 2010 to 2013, she was a member of the Managing Board of Photographic Academy “Yanka Kyurkchieva”. Since 2013, she has been Chief Coordinator of the Month of Photography. From 2012 to 2015, she was a columnist for the magazine "Photomania". Curator in SYNTHESIS - Gallery for photography. She has been a member of the jury of Biennale Phodar, Photocademica, Month of Photography, etc. Bulgarian and international competitions. Author of more than 25 solo exhibitions. Winner of awards in Bulgaria and abroad - Picture of the Year - Bulgaria, Photoacademica, Association of Serbian Photographers, etc.
Kalin Ruychev
Kalin Ruychev was born in Sofia in 1968. Grandson of two photographers, since childhood he had watched with interest their professional activities and somehow logically and seamlessly himself started shooting. Since 1991, he has been working for various Bulgarian periodicals such as Rhythm newspaper and the magazines Egoist, Metropolis, Eva. In recent years, he works as freelancer and collaborates with various editions, including Eva, Amica, Harper’s Bazaar, etc. Curator in SYNTHESIS - Gallery for photography.
