The third edition of Agitato - Sofia Chamber Music Festival will take place between 17 October and 29 November 2017 in the First Studio of the Bulgarian National Radio /BNR/ at 7.30 p.m. It is organized with the financial support of the Sofia Culture 2017 Programme, with the BNR as the main partner, providing the venue for the events. Agitato’s organization and artistic team is formed by the Collage Duo and the Chamber Ensemble Silhouettes, united in the Sofia – Spirit and Culture Association.

The organizers of the Sofia – Spirit and Culture Association have prepared diversity in the programme, which includes four international ensembles: Ensemble Crush (Germany), the piano Trio Atanassov (France), String Quartet Metis (Lithuania) and Via Nova Percussion Group (Austria/France, Qatar). It is notable that apart from the usual composers such as Brahms and Shuman, there will be three global premiers, including one composition, especially composed for this festival.

Apart from the extensive international participation, what is new this year is the creative laboratory for singing duos - Agitato Youth. This initiative came from Duo Collage and intends to support young singers and pianists, interested in the vocal lyrics, in forming ensembles. A concert of the newly formed duos is included in Agitato’s main programme.”
