Church of St st Ciril and Methodius

 

Church is a single nave church with three cupolas, consecrated on the 10th May 1909. Its size is impressive: width – 30 metres, height – 20 metres, the height of the central cupola – 27 metres.

The church inherited the congregation of the old church St. Pretchista Bogoroditsa.
In 1928 a saloon living room was built which turned into an parish centre after after a certain period of time. The iconostasis, the Prelate throne and the pulpit were made by the Treven master wood-carver Gencho P. Marangozov. The iconostasis icons were made by famous Bulgarian painters: Ivan Dimitrov, Prof. Stefan Ivanov, G. Zhelyazkov, Prof. St. Badzhov and Apostol Hristov.
