Archeology of Sofia and Sofia Region – Exhibition

An  annual  exhibition  organized  by  Sofia History Museum.

In 2019 it will be its 5th edition.  Its  main  objective  is  to  present  the  results of studies from the past archaeological season  as  well  as  the  most  interesting  finds. Archeological   excavations   on   the   territory   of  Sofia  and  the  region  were  conducted  on  a  total  of  16  sites  in  2018. 

Parts of fortification, foundations of buildings and premises, remains of  street  pavements, water  pipes, as well as necropolises with different types of burial facilities have been uncovered. 

Through the years, the exhibition has presented materials and results of over 50 archaeological studies.
