142 years since the Liberation of Sofia

On January 4, 2020 the Bulgarian capital will celebrate 142 years since the Liberation of Sofia from Ottoman Rule.

At 10 o’clock there will be a thanksgiving prayer at St. Nedelya church.

At 10:30 there will be a procession to the Monument of General Gurko and the Monument to the Tsar Liberator. Wreaths will be laid in front of the monuments.

At 11:15 o’clock a literary and musical event will be held, and  laing wreaths at the Monument of the Bulgarian Volunteer.

The  celebration is a Part of the Calendar of Cultural Events of Sofia Municipality.
