Deputy Mayor of Sofia, Assoc. Prof. Todor Chobanov received the President of the Republic of Malta, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, in the building of Sofia Municipality. Dr. Chobanov introduced the main priorities for the development of the city, which is one of the most ancient in Europe. The focus of the talks was the cooperation between Sofia and Valletta, the capital of Malta, in the field of culture.
The President of Malta wrote a message in the Sofia Book of Honour: "When we are united as nations of goodwill, we are strong. When our solidarity goes beyond our differences, Malta and Bulgaria strengthen both our European Union and the world,” wrote Mrs. Preca.
