Sofia is officially ranked on third place in the European Cities of the Future 2020/21 category of strategy for the attraction of foreign direct investments together with London and Dublin! Sofia gains four more places in the fDi Intelligence ranking European Cities and Regions of the Future 2020/2021.

fDi Intelligence is the Financial Times division dealing with investments and encouragement of the investment climate. The ranking is done once every two years among 505 cities and regions across Europe.

Several years ago the Sofia Investment Agency was established on the initiative of Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova. ‘The goal of our work was aimed at changing the approach to investors, by inviting and supporting them in seeing our city as a destination of their next investment. I believe that our efforts for the construction and improvement of the infrastructure, as well as for the improvement of business climate contribute to Sofia being more frequently the city of choice for world companies for the development of their business. ‘ – said Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova.
