Sofia Municipality has a sustainable policy for the development of programs to support youth activities and sports

Every year we support the “Team of Hope” and their participation in the international Homeless Cup tournament. This is the point - to give a chance to young people not only to engage in sports, but also to learn and to work. “The project is extremely successful namely because of this. Through sport, through integration, to gain confidence and be a winner", said the Mayor of Sofia, Yordanka Fandakova, who wished success to the youths from the "Team of Hope".

She wished all boys to be champions in life - because they are motivated and driven to success. All of us who were involved in sports know that it motivates and educates. The coach of the team is Borislav Ferdinandov, and Victor Kirkov is the founder of the project. The Bulgarian team will take part in the World Cup for homeless people in Cardiff, Wales from July 27 to August 3, 2019.
