The 24th of May - The Day of Bulgarian Education, Culture and Slavic Literature are among the most celebrated holidays of the Bulgarian people. A Day in which we take a look back at Bulgaria ’s great spiritual and cultural achievements. A Holiday with greater meaning in the year of the 90th anniversary of one of the greatest Bulgarian writers’ birth - Yordan Radichkov.

According to the Holiday on the 21st of May 2019 in Hall 1 at National Palace of culture, there will be festive concert performance “Bulgaria – a blessed land” by Director Boris Radev. The producer is The National Theatre “Ivan Vazov”.

The Concert will take the audience to the myths, legends, and history of the Earth of Bulgarians, adopting the magic of music, dancing and the outstanding achievements of great Bulgarian poets and writers, and special attention will be paid to the great Bulgarian writer Yordan Radichkov.

Participants in the performance will be the stars of The National Theatre “Ivan Vazov”: Georgi Mamalev, Paraskeva Dzhukelova, Darin Angelov, Stoyan Aleksiev, Vasil Draganov, Teodor Elmazov and Plamen Peev, as well as solo artist from “Arabesque” Ballet,  “Bulgare” Ensemble, “101 Kaba gaidi” Ensemble, and “Vedri Lika” church vocal – Slavic  Ensemble.

Neither the date nor the year is randomly selected – the are our delight of honoring the great Yordan Velichkov with a festive concert performance reminding us of his undying “Commotion”.
