Back Photo exhibition for the 60th anniversary of the Children's Choir of the Bulgarian National Radio

Photo exhibition for the 60th anniversary of the Children's Choir of the Bulgarian National Radio in the Open Air Gallery

An eternally young band turns 60 in 2020. On the first day of spring, six decades ago, the singers chosen by maestro Hristo Nedyalkov for the Children's Choir of the Bulgarian National Radio gather for their first rehearsal. At that time, no one still knew what a glorious future awaited the "nightingales", as they are now called, who sing and glorify our country and confidently "fly" to the world stage.

The Children’s Choir of the Bulgarian National Radio is a laureate and winner of Grand Prix, special and first place awards, gold medals and diplomas for great artistic achievements at many national and international choir competitions and festivals. In 2002 the European Choirs’ Federation to the European Union conferred upon the Choir the title “Cultural Ambassador of Europe”.

The celebrations of the anniversary will begin on May 18, 2020 with the exhibition "Beyond the Song" by photographer Tihomira Metodieva - Tihich.

The exhibition is funded by the Sofia municipality Cultur Program.

Residents of Sofia and guests of the city will be able to see it in the open-air gallery of Sofia Municipality in the City Garden, from May 18 to June 2, 2020.
